T-Mobile MDA 2.26 Beta Official ROM leak
Thanks to chesney09 on HoFo we now have the T-Mobile 2.26 official ROM. Now while I was downloading this I was thinking of building a custom ROM (aka cooked ROM) from this; however, after using it for the past couple of hours I don’t think I will build one for awhile.
In all honesty, I really enjoy this ROM right now…maybe it’s because of the new comm manager, or because of the T-Zones link on the today screen, I don’t know but right now I’m enjoying it very much. Only draw back is that there’s no Java/Midlet Manager in the ROM like the original ship ROM…so that’s kind disappointing, but other than that it’s pretty good. And just FYI, I’m running it with the T-Mobile customizations…that’s right..I did NOT cancel the “customizations” install, I let it go through all the way.
Some registry edits you might want to do are in this file:

Overall I’m happy with this ROM, and because of the distractions that I’ve had since starting this post ~ 9pm and ending it 2:30am I can say for the last 5.5 hours it’s been working out pretty well.
Oh did I mention that those e-mail sound notifications that people were complaining about with the earlier ROMs…well you’ll be happy to know that the notification sound comes through loud and clear!
You can download the ROM from the link above or from here
Midlet Manager now available here
TCPMP Fully Loaded
I found this website while looking for codecs, ad I must say it was pretty sweet. All the codecs for TCPMP in one install package….just can’t get any better eh? Well I integrated into my custom extended ROM and reflashed my unit…oh yeah it works…
TCPMP with the following codecs:
AC3 Codec Plugin
AAC Codec Plugin
Speex Codec Plugin
ffmpeg Codec Plugin
VorbisLQ Codec Plugin
Install: Unzip and run the cab on you unit…

Just another reason why I like BMW
So this was featured on wired yesterday about the BMW’s new auto park system. This was nice, but as I was reading it I remembered that don’t they have something better than this? And the answer is yes they do. Don’t get me wrong, this is a nice feature but the need of a reflective sensor on the wall…I mean honestly how many parking garages will have such a thing, and in all honesty that’s where you need it the most. Some wanker parked over the lines because they weren’t thinking and now you have to squeeze into a spot that’s literally made for a mini. I think they should have laser beams instead of lines, and if you park over the line and open your door it’ll be like sharks with freaking laser beams attached to their heads! Oh I digress…so yeah without further adieu here’s the wired video of the BMW auto park, and below is the BMW auto park that I remembered seeing a few months back:

WWYD?
What would you do? So you have a couple of 2003 machines that need more hard drive space, and the domain names need to be changed. Sounds pretty text book to me, or so I thought.
I backed up the usual suspects, and when I came around to backing up the exchange databases all hell broke loose. BSOD! I was like shit! There goes another hour! (as it turns out there went another day!)
Thanks to the all mighty Virtual Server, Exmerge, and a secret weapon all is well after 36 hours of constant swearing. =)
So I’m tired…I’m going to sleep tonight. Oh yeah…I’m going to sleep.
